Welcome to My Friends Down Under
May 28th, 2010
A lovely piece was written about social media and cancer treatment. I was quoted extensively and look forward to interacting more with friends and supporters down there. I’m in the process of migrating my blog so some of the great comments that were quoted haven’t made it over here yet…
Welcome!
PS I didn’t lie about my age. I was diagnosed at 38 and am currently 39. Every other detail seems to be very accurate though!

Hi Danny, Hi from Brisbane Australia! I’ve just been diagnosed with Grade 3 Breast Ca, lots of nodes but no mets. My sister gave me a link to your blog site. I’m still in LaLa land – between surgery and Chemo and find your blog full of comfort and inspirarion. Just watched the utube on makeup – …. I too feel quite well apart from a very battered left boob – and think I will wake up tomorrow and the whole thing was just made up. If I don’t wake up then I start Chemo in a couple of weeks. I’ll be tracking your blog for tips and inspiration . Go Girl!
it is truly a surreal nightmare. i am so sorry you are having to join this reluctant sisterhood.
if you find it helpful, this was my attempt to get my head around all of this.
wishing you ☮ ♥ & health!

It was indeed a lovely article.
I have just read the article on the internet (we don’t take that particular paper. I was diagnosed with colon and metastatic liver and lung cancer just before Christmas last year. I have been writing a blog myself: meandthebigc.blogspot.com. Come and visit some time. I have been dipping into your blog and plan to read more as time permits. I will also put a link to you on my blog. Joan in West Oz

I am going to start blogging I have written so much stuff in my journals over the last 6 years maybe it is time to share. HOPE to develop a cyberspace friendship with you. Would love to hear from you

Writing is therapeutic for some of us, whether it’s done privately or in the public forum of a blog. I will look forward to hearing more about you.
I will rejoice when each of my children turns 18! What a gift to celebrate it.
